How to Create a Group on Instagram

The first step to creating a group on Instagram is to open your app. Once you’re in, tap on … at the top right of your screen. This will take you to your profile page. From here, find New Post in your options bar, then choose either Photo or Video. Next, add a caption for your post—you can include anything you want in here!

Open Instagram:

After logging into your account, you can create a group by tapping on create group button on top right corner of your page. Once you have done that, you will have to enter relevant information like name of group and bio. These are required fields so don’t forget to fill them in before creating.

Click direct message:

If you want to start a group, direct message several people who might be interested in being in it. Make sure that each member’s content is different enough so that your group doesn’t just become one big competition for followers and likes.

Select your friends:

The first step to creating your group is to make sure that you’re friends with all of your members. You don’t have to follow each other, but it’s easier if you do. To add someone as a friend on Instagram, tap their profile picture. From there, select add as friend. Repeat until everyone in your group is a friend with one another. If you want to add someone new to your group, simply enter their username into one of your existing posts. Doing so will prompt them to accept or decline membership. If they accept, they’ll be added to your group within a few minutes! Similarly, if you want to leave a group, just post a photo asking members to remove you from their collection.

Tap chat option and type a message:

Tap to start a chat. Type a message and tap to send. Or reply to a specific person’s comment.
