What is CC train?
First of all let us know what CC is. Actually, it means AC Chair Car. It is a type of coach offered by Indian Railways mainly in short distance and daytime trains. This compartment does not have sleeping seats or seats like a sleeper sheet (SL), but has a chair for sitting. CC coaches have comfortable 5 chairs arranged in rows, usually in a 3×2 configuration.
Let us also tell you that air conditioned (AC) facility is available in CC coach. The seats in it are also quite luxurious. Catering facility is also available.
In which trains are CC seats available?
CC Seats i.e. AC Chair Car is a type of train of Indian Railways in which each coach holds 72 passengers. EC trains are generally available in short distance trains, such as Shatabdi Express, Vande Bharat Express, and some Duronto Express. Some Jan Shatabdi Express also have one or two EC coaches.
