Indian batsman Deepak Hooda played another brilliant innings in the first T20 International against England in Southampton.
In the third over, Hooda, who came out to bat at number three, hit 33 (17) strokes with the help of three fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 194.11.
Hooda, who scored his maiden T20I century in the last match against Ireland last month, took a single delivery before attacking England all-rounder Moeen Ali.
On the first ball of the fifth over, Hooda dances on the track to hit Ali at long on. Not afraid to take risks even on the following balls, a fearless Hooda hit two consecutive sixes to get the ball rolling at the Rose Bowl on Thursday.
Facing England pacer Race Topley in the next over, Hooda hit a maximum of three boundaries as India posted a score of 66/2 in the powerplay. From playing at the right time to punishing Topley for bowling short and wide, Hooda did not let India lose to openers Rohit Sharma (24) and Ishan Kishan (8).
