New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unfurl the national flag and address the nation on the ramparts of Delhi\’s Red Fort at the 76th Independence Day celebrations on Monday.

Prime Minister Modi\’s speech will be telecast live on Doordarshan and All India Radio. It will be streamed live on the Press Information Bureau (PIB) channel on YouTube and Twitter. It can also be viewed on the Times Now YouTube channel here:

PM Modi\’s program on Independence Day

The Prime Minister will reach Raj Ghat at 7:06 am and will leave from there at 7:14 am. He will then reach the Red Fort at Lahori Gate/Salute Base at 7:18 am and will be received by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior officials of the Defense Ministry.
On arrival, the Prime Minister will conduct a security check on foot and enter the Red Fort from the Lahore Gate at 7:30 am. After this, the PM will reach the ramparts to hoist the tricolor.

After the deployment of the tricolour, there will be national anthem, national anthem, 21 gun salute by ATG (Indigenous) and march of guards.
An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter showers petals on the ramparts at 7:32 am.
Prime Minister Modi will begin his address to the nation at 7:33 am. It will culminate with the release of Jai Hind and Tricolor shells.
A total of 8,000 people will be allowed in the event and over 10,000 police officers will be stationed at the Red Fort to oversee it.
